In Part 1, An Unpredictable World, Frans studied the successful song writer, Dan Balan, tennis player, Serena Williams, and the mobile giant, Nokia.
One of the songs Dan Balan has written was aired unintentionally on The Today Show, the most watched morning show in the United States. It was a remarkable event for Dan.
Serena Williams won the 1999 US Open at the age of 17. Serena Williams’s success may attribute to her father, who has a singleminded determination to support Serena. But Serena has a sister, Venus, who is also a very successful player and supported by her dad. What makes Serena more successful?
Dan Balan and Serena’s success may attribute to their outstanding talents but there appears to be more than that in the unpredictable world that we live in.

Frans氏は第一部で成功しているソングライターのDan Balan、テニス選手のSerea Williams、モバイル会社Nokiaの研究と書いています。
ソングライターのDan Balan氏のある歌の大ヒットの理由は予想外のものでした。それは、アメリカで有名な朝のテレビ番組で放送されたからです。
テニス選手のSerena Williams氏は17歳の時に1999年USオープンで優勝しました。この成功に一番影響している人は父であるRichard Williams氏のサポートです。同じサポートを受けてる姉妹のVenus氏もすごく成功していますが、どうしてSerena氏を超えていないのでしょうか。
Dan Balan氏とSerena Williams氏の成功はもちろん自身の才能と関係が一番高いのですが、才能以外の要素がこの予想できない世界にはありそうです。
