I personally admire Sudhir’s courage and his way of doing things.

He believes the best way to start problem solving is to understand the problem correctly.

He risked his life to interview real gangs in order to probe into local gang problems.

This book helped me understand what a gang is and how it works.

Gang’s existence is essential to those people who are abandoned by the society or for those who cannot blend in the society.

This book also helps me that a problem is connected with other problems and will lead to crisis.

If the company J.T. once worked for recognized J.T.’s ability and not to judge his work performance based on his skin color, J.T. may not quit his job and may not join the gang.

It would take a long way to improve the society and turn it to a better place but I think it is worthy.

I would now pay more attention to each social issue and contribute to make positive impact.

個人的に、Sudhir氏の勇気と行動を尊敬しています。

彼は問題解決の第一歩は正しく問題を知ることと信じています。

自分の命をかけて暴力団の問題を知るため、暴力団を訪問しました。

そして、この本を通じて、暴力団の認識を深めることできました。

社会から見放された人たちにとって暴力団はとても重要な存在です。

一つの問題は他のたくさんの問題に繋がっているとわかりました。

もし、当時J.T.氏が勤めていた会社に人種差別がなかったら、J.T.氏も仕事を辞めないでしょうし、暴力団にも加わっていないでしょう。

社会をよくするためにはものすごく時間と労力がかかりますが、私は必要だと思います。

私はいまから、周りの問題にもっと目を向けていきます。。社会を良くするため、自分できることを少しでもやって見ようと思います。
