Today’s book is about brain science and habit generation.

It's called in One Small Step Can Change Your Life, written by Robert Maurer.

The author, Robert Maurer, mentioned our brain is designed to protect us. Every time it senses there is a change in outside world, it alerts the body to be careful to survive. This brain function also makes “habit generation” difficult, even when we want to have a new habit.

For instance, say, John wants to loose weight by changing diet. Decreasing calories intake suddenly may cause his body felt endangered from starvation so his body wants to eat more.

Based on Robert Maurer’s study, there is a strategy may help you to form a habit in a much easier way. That is “take a small step at a time."

Small step (small change) will not cause our brain to feel insecure and endangered so small actions are easier to be carried out.

If you want to make a change in your life, this is a book worth reading.

I hope you enjoyed this short article.
