少しでも英語読む力をアップに繋げたらいいなと思います。

Good morning!

It is very impressive to see how eager Japanese people are at improving their skills, especially at language skills.

There are many book clubs and study events almost every weekend here in Tokyo.

I was very lucky to be invited to an English study group last Saturday.

It was hosted by a friend of mine, Toyokumi-san.

She helped people improve their English skills by studying selected short clips, taken from American TV series.

It reminded me how I learned English back in college.

I used to watch one American movie for at least three times every week. I watch one time without any subtitles, one time with English subtitles and one time with Chinese subtitles.

I also picked up the lines I like and memorise them to improve my speaking skill.

Her study group was constructed in a similar way and a lot more organised.

I highly recommend it, especially if you are an American TV series lover.
