Book Review - The Language of Choice Theory - Part 4 - Teacher to Student

本日のレビュはTeacher to Studentのコミュニケーションについて話しましょう。

 Good morning. 

Today’s topic is Teacher to Student communication.

School is built in hierarchy structure and teachers possess power over students.

Teachers can offer students with rewards and punishments (external controls) to direct students to perform well in school.

The authors suggest to use language of choice theory rather than external controls may create a stronger impact and help the student more in the long run.

The patterns I found from the example given in the book are:

1. Recognise students’ effort, work and creativity. (positive affirmation)

2. Encourage students to think to supply their own ideas

3. Invite students to ask teachers for help

4. Offer help

5. Suspend punishment
