昨日の「フリーアジェントの社会インパクト」の理解できましたか？

今日はPart V - フリーアジェントの教育インパクトについて予習しましょう。

School is a relatively new product of civilization, starting in the 19th century.

In 1920, school education became compulsory.

According to Daniel, school education is for preparing people to become Organization Guys and it is like cooking a Thanksgiving Turkey. 

Turkeys (students) are put in the oven (school) for couple hours (12 years education).

Soon after they are done, they are served to the customers (employers). An one size fits all model.

Then, there came home-schooling. (Home-schooling in many senses shares common grounds with free anger working styles.)

Home schooling was illegal in some states in 1980. However, there were 15,000 households chose to home school their kids.

In 1990, the households who homeschool their kids have grown by 20 folds to 300,000.

In 1993, home schooling became legal in all states in USA.

in 2001, there are 1.7 million students who are receiving home schooling education.

Home-schooling achieve results that public education can achieve, some times surpass public education.

私の友たちの中の一人は高校までHome-schoolingで学習しました。

彼の考え方と行動力はやはり普通ではありません。Home-schoolingのお陰で彼は一般的な学問以外好きな分野深く勉強することできました。彼は栄養学と脳科学が好きてパソコンの中にいろんな食べ物の脳にいいな栄養素を詳しく記載されてます。そして、その栄養素をバランス良くとって脳にいい影響があるかとうかを実験していました。

その科学的なやり方と実行力に驚きました。
