Steven Pinker, in the Chapter Long Peace, has examined the war with 2 perspective in statistics.

1. The timing of war
It is not statistically significant to say there is a cycle of wars.

In other words, the onsets of war and its offsets are random.

2. The magnitude of war
To level each quarrel by death toll and put all recorded quarrels on a timeline, Steven found times of quarrel has decreased but the death toll per quarrel has increased dramatically.

Some says that the increase of death toll per quarrel have made leaders in developed countries to have a second thoughts on launching a war.

１・戦争が起こるタイミング
戦争が起こるタイミングのサイクリングを判定できず、ランダムであることがわかりました。

２・戦争のマグニチュード
戦争の回数と一回の戦争で死んだ人数を分析し、気づいたことは：

A：戦争の回数は減っています
B：一回の戦争で死んだ人数は増えています

この傾向は先進国の大統領たちが戦争を起こさないの理由でもあると言われています。
