This week’s book is Steven Pinker’s The Better Angels of Our Nature.

It is a book about trend of violence.

Most people think that violence is rising because of:

1. more information and news of violence is being broadcasted
2. easier to recall of a violent memory or event

People nowadays also think war only happens in poor countries.However,it, in fact, used to be rich countries fighting each other.

Steven Pinker thinks violence is actually decreasing and we will be reading about the reasons together.

この本はバイオレンス（暴力、暴行）を研究する１冊です。

多くの人はバイオレンスの行動をとる人が増えていると考えています。その理由は：

１・マスメディアが大量なバイオレンスニュースや情報を放送する
２・バイオレンスの事件を身近に感じてしまう

いまの人は戦争は貧乏な国だけ起こっていると感じています。でも実は、戦争は豊かな国の間だけ起こっていました。

Steven Pinker氏は実はバイオレンスの行動をとる人は少なくなっていると考えています。
