Business English conversation is much easier compared to English small talk.

Because Business English conversation’s structures and topics are usually commonly shared by its participants.

Small talk is random and sometimes cultural, which could be very difficult for foreigners to catch up.

The book author, Nathan Long, suggested to:

1. Be positive - Most non-Japanese speakers claim they speak Japan when they learn words like “sushi” or “ninja” They are giving themselves a positive affirmation, which facilitates learning.

2. Start from baby steps

    He breaks down conversation scenario in to sports, family, travel….and so forth.

    He, then, gives 3-4 example sentences to help you get start with small talks.

This book comes in handy when having small talks with non-Japanese speakers.
