Thanks to all 5 delegates who participated in this event, it is a privilege to take this opportunity to host this PhotoReading event and to learn from all you guys.

You guys rock!

Books we read today and our purposes of reading it:

1. Ryosuke - English Finance terms -> He wants to learn finance terms in English to help him to increase performance at work and in the MBA program he is taking now.
2. Monza - Let’s learn Brazil culture. -> Monza has been a great fan of Capoeira and interested in Brazil culture. She wants to learn more about Brail through this book.
3. Junco - Get Everything Done: And Still Have Time to Play (Help Yourself) -> Junco is interested in increase her time management skill to help her manage her daily tasks.
4. D1K - The language of Choice Theory -> D1K wants to know how to increase communication skill with his team members in workplace through this book.
5. Jeff - The Art of Choosing - I wanted to know how people makes decision and how I can make a “good decision”.

All of us have done a great job at PhotoReading. I can see that all of us have a very high expectation of PhotoReading skill, which is a good thing. A high expectation is also one of the 7 secrets to good activations. But we want to be careful not letting higher expectation frustrates us. (Don’t beat yourself up on not being able to PhotoRead in 30 minutes and learn EVERYTHING in the book.) Paul R Sheele said it takes averagely 50 trials and errors for an adult to acquire a new skill. I think we are doing very good so far.

Other useful information:

I am very impressed by Rakuten Kobo that they have released an application for Kobo users to read on a PC or a Mac. Thanks to Ryosuke for this information. It is so sad that Kindle Japan is not offering a PC or MAC application. (They do offer it in the States.) I applied for Kobo accounts right away and received a 500 JPY coupon! Awesome! Now I can read my books on my iPad, iPhone and my Mac! (Only one sad thing is that it seems Kobo has less English books than Kindle does.)
